Iyer In Pakistan Malayalam Movie, Unni Mukundan to replace Fahad Fazil ?

Fahad Fazil, a lead face in the new generation actors in Malayalam, has walked out of the upcoming movie Iyer In Pakistan, which is directed by debutante Fazil. The young actor has rejected this much-hyped project stating that the screenplay is not up to his expected mark. Now, Unni Mukundan will essay the lead role, which was to be played by Fahad. Iyer In Pakistan is produced by M Mani under the banner of Aroma Productions. Earlier, Fahad Fazil had signed an agreement with the producer to star in the film. He had even done a photo shoot for it. But it is reported that Fahad is not happy with the screenplay of the movie. So he is said to have met the producer and told him about his opting out of the project. Meanwhile, he has reportedly agreed to do a film for the banner in the future. It is also reported that director Fazil has approached Unni Mukundan for the role in Iyer In Pakistan. Unni is said to be impressed with the story and has accepted to play the role. Currently, he is busy with Ithu Pathiramanal, Orissa, Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander, Kaattum Mazhayum and D Company. He is expected to take up Iyer In Pakistan after wrapping up his present projects. Iyer in Pakistan would feature Jagathy's daughter Sreelakshmy and Sanusha in the female leads. It should be recalled here that Unni Mukundan had earlier replaced Prithviraj in Mallu Singh that propelled to star status and his first hit. It should be seen whether Iyer In Pakistan would create same magic for the actor.

Unni Mukundan denies link-up rumours

The last actress whose name we heard linked with Unni Mukundan was his Paathiramanal co-star Remya Nambeesan.

While we are used to hearing the so-called link-up between co-stars just around the time the film is ready for release to up the film's prospects, looks like Unni has made a strong statement about rumours about his love life doing the rounds.

In an interview with a Malayalam daily, Unni has said that he would never tie the knot with an actress, because he is not someone who can stand his wife doing a romantic scene with her co-star! The actor is also quoted to have said that the talk about all actresses he has already been linked up with, and those who he's likely to be linked up with soon, is nothing but gossip.

Unni Mukundan Upcoming Movie Projects

Unni Mukundan hot property in Malayalam. Upcoming movies: ‘Pathiramanal’, ‘Gangs of Vadakkumnathan’, ‘I Love Me’ and ‘Orissa’

Unni Mukundan is hot property in Malayalam movie industry. He has done wonderfully well in his latest Malayalam film ‘Mallu Singh’. The young actor hopes to end the year with a bang. He has three interesting projects and challenging characters lined-up. Unni, will be seen as a typical village lad in Padmakumar’s ‘Pathiramanal’.

Unni, will also be seen as a police officer in Diphan’s ‘Gangs of Vadakkumnathan’, which happen to be one of the segments of ‘D Company’. He will also join Asif Ali and Isha Talwar in B.Unnikrishnan’s ‘I Love Me’.

“The film i am eagerly looking forward to is Padmakumar’s ‘Orissa’. I play a Malayali police officer on deputation to Orissa.”

He does not understand Oriya and there is this girl who does not know Malayalam. The film is the story of their love in the backdrop of human trafficking. The film will start roll on early 2013.

With good physique and unique facial features, which give him that flexibility to play diverse characters, Unni Mukundan is sure to be one of the top stars in Malayalam movie industry.

Unni Mukundan is the Son of Alexander

The whole kingdom had been awaiting his arrival and the makers were careful to guard his identity till the lavish launch held at a glitzy hotel in Dubai.

The subject of this piece is the film Samrajyam part 2 – Son of Alexander and the actor who was unveiled was Unni Mukundan who will play the part of Jordan.

The lead of the film was a matter of constant guesswork and most top rung actors from Kollywood and Mollywood had been speculated about.

The guessing game threw up names like Dulquer Salmaan — because Mammootty had immortalised Alexander in the original film — as well as Prithviraj, Arya and Allu Arjun.

Dulquer ruled himself out, tweeting that the “Son Of Alexander will be played by a close friend of mine and one of the nicest guys I have known and I am positive that he will do full justice to the role.’’

The selection of Unni has thrown up a pleasant surprise and he has proved his mettle in films like Bombay March 12 as well as the recent hit Mallu Singh.

The persona of the angry young man is right down his alley and his stunt sequences also packed a punch in Mallu Singh. If all goes according to plan, Trisha will play his leading lady.

This film will tilt the balance in Unni’s favour and push him to the top bracket. Unni has the upcoming I Love Me, Pathiramanal, Orrisa and Gangs of Vadukkumnathan in his kitty.

Though the responsibility of the role is huge as expectations are high, the makers are confident that Unni will do justice to the part.

Directed by Perarasu and produced by Ajmal Hassan and Byju Adithyan, the film stars Madhu and Vijayaraghavan who played a part in the original Samrajyam.
