Noted director TK Rajeev Kumar has almost completed the shoot of his Nithya Menen starrer Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty (TOP) the banner of Reel 2 Reel Cine Productions.The film was first written keeping Mohanlal as the male protagonist, but changed to a female character played by Nithya Menen. TOP is rumoured to be a Malayalam version of Jim Carrey's The Truman Show, about a man who becomes a part of a reality television show.
The film has Unni Mukundan and Nithya Menen in the lead along with Shweta Menon, Siddique, Baburaj, Suraaj Venjaranmoodu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Tini Tom and others include the cast.
TOP is based on and what happens behind a television reality show, with some suspense element thrown in. Sharath will do the music for the film which is being shot in digital format by Vinod Illampilly using a F3 camera.The highlight of TOP is surely going to be Nithya Menen’s stunning performance. Sunny Joseph and Manuel George the script wroters of the film has given her an author backed role.
